Notes

4A. Improve customer experience and service delivery

TIAPEI is working with Cronk Group to develop an online training program that will focus on customer service and it will be created with in-depth industry input to make this an Island made program.

TIAPEI executed a set of industry roundtables in February 2025. These roundtables were hosted in each region to educate and engage operators in what TIAPEI does, ACAT initiatives and also some of the current challenges and opportunities for the industry.

4B. Continue to develop market research to help inform strategy

Tourism PEI has collected and shared relevant market research and resident sentiment via TourismPEI.com/industry, industry presentations at conferences, stakeholder meetings and written communications.

Tourism PEI, through its Atlantic Canada Agreement on Tourism partnership, commissioned Narrative Research to conduct a study to look into factors that impact how mid-Atlantic and New England US regions travel, travel intentions and behaviours in the coming years. See 2023 US Consumer Research Report.

Tourism PEI completed the 2023 Cruise Ship Passengers Survey; initial results are prepared.

Destination Canada has begun biweekly monitoring of resident sentiment surrounding tourism and travel to and from Canada as a result of the CAN-US tariff situation.

Tourism PEI has included Destination Canada's Wealth and Wellbeing Index on its industry-facing website.

4C. Help PEI's operators become resilient to impacts of climate change

More updates coming soon.

4D. Build the experience development capacity of Island operators

Island RTAs and DMOs, including Indigenous Tourism Association of PEI and Acadie Tourism Association of PEI, along with a small number of operators from each region are currently participating in a Destination Canada Pilot program around Experience Development.

4E. Help operators optimize pricing for capacity and demand

More updates coming soon.
