Extreme Weather : Advice for Operators & Visitors to Prince Edward Island

The safety of the public and staff of Tourism PEI is our primary concern. In anticipation of Hurricane Lee, we would remind visitors that they are responsible for their own safety and advise that visiting our provincial parks and beaches during inclement weather is strongly discouraged for safety reasons.  As the storm approaches PEI this weekend, there could be a number of hazards, including potential danger from rip currents, downed trees and localized flooding as well as potential coastal and cliff erosion.
