Tourism Research and Engagement

The Tourism Research and Engagement Division is responsible for tourism industry research and intelligence, policy and strategic planning, and managing regulatory affairs pursuant to the Tourism Industry Act. The division is responsible for sector relations with key stakeholders including the regional tourism associations, destination management associations, Golf PEI, Meetings and Conventions PEI, and Tourism Industry Association of PEI. This division is the lead liaison on intergovernmental and policy matters such as air access, tourism-related legislation, labour and immigration issues, and land-use matters.
