Cranberry Pudding
- 1 1/3 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt (optional)
- 3/4 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup boiling water (mix into molasses)
- 1 1/2 cups cranberries
Stir flour, baking soda, and salt (if using) in steam dish. Add water and molasses mixture. Stir. Fold in cranberries. Steam for 2 hours.
Sauce
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup cream or canned milk
- 3/4 cup white or brown sugar
or brandy sauce
- 1/3 cup plus 2 tbs. butter
- 3 tbs. brown sugar
- 1 tbs. dark corn syrup
- 1 tbs. brandy
For both sauces, mix and heat until slightly thickened.
