If you had to choose the three best stretches of the Confederation Trail (including one on the east side of PEI), what would they be? And the three best places to eat along the Confederation Trail?

Good afternoon from Prince Edward Island,
Thank you for your inquiry to Ask an Islander. We are excited to hear that you plan to cycle the Confederation Trail. Three very nice stretches along the trail that I recommend are as follows:
From Morell and St. Peters (pictured below) is only 11 km so if you would like more riding continue toward Elmira.

In the east, the ride from Cardigan to Montague (below) and/or beyond to Georgetown is lovely.

In the center of the province, a nice stretch is between Colville Road/Route 9 and Fredericton (below) with hardwood trees and views of farmed fields.

Depending on the type of food you like, check out the Wheelhouse in Georgetown, Clamdiggers in Cardigan (not far from the trail), Island Stone Pub in Kensington, Evermore Brewery in Summerside and Bogside Brewery in Montague. All are good places to eat.
Enjoy your ride along the Confederation Trail. Be sure to stop along the way for some architectural, historical, natural and geographical facts about Prince Edward Island interpreted in the story and photos on bilingual panels from one end to the other.
Stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too.
Have a fabulous adventure!
