A retelling of LM Montgomery’s eyewitness account of the wreck of the Marco Polo in 1883. In later years, the late Tommy Gallant discovered the shipwreck. Join his sons Phillip and Leon for a retelling of the ship’s history with genuine artifacts along with shipwreck and seafaring songs and storytelling of old. Together, they talk of the significance of her time in Stanley Bridge. Enjoy a sampling of Maud’s favourite foods mentioned in her writings. Thursdays from July 25 to September 19, 7-9 pm.
