Fantastic Food Trucks of PEI

I’ll never forget the day that I drove past the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile along the Rattenbury Road on my way to work in Cavendish. It was a surreal moment as it was 1990 - long before the advent of food trucks on PEI. The only thing close to street food here at that time was Dickie Dee ice cream, construction site lunch trucks and hot dog carts outside of local night clubs.
Today, Prince Edward Island is part of the full-fledged food truck phenomenon. Vendors sell many kinds of food from lobster rolls, pad Thai, burgers, ice cream, and French Fries, of course!
Canada’s Food Island is dotted with places for "wheelie" good eats. Travel the province to indulge in the culinary delights offered by talented food truck owners.
