With the changing climate, more and more the park requires human-made snow to make up for a lack of natural snow. At Brookvale, 17 air/water snow guns produce an inch of snow to cover an acre of hill per hour.
The snow making process is a combination of compressed air and water forced through a nucleator to form crystals that fall as human-made snow. This process requires temperatures of at least -5C to -6C or lower.
