Where is the best place to fish off shore or a dock?

General Island

Hi Sharon,

Thank you for reaching out! The north shore beaches are popular for striped bass fishing lately, and most people fish for mackerel off of wharves all over the island. Please check with the local wharf authority for permission to fish off the wharf and only park in designated areas.

I found this Popular Salt Water Angling Locations page on the Government of PEI website. Salt water recreational fishing is regulated by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, please contact them with any specific questions about catch limits or licensing.

Happy fishing,

Valerie
