We paid the ferry fee and then the bridge toll to leave is there a way to get one of them back?

Hi Monique,
Thank you for your reaching out. To travel for free (one-way) on the Northumberland Ferry from Nova Scotia to PEI, you travel on a first come first served basis and hope to get on the ferry. To guarantee a spot for your desired departure date and time, you pay to make a reservation.
When you make a reservation, one-way or return, the fare is the same. That fare includes return travel to Nova Scotia. If you book one-way, you can convert your booking to a round-trip later by calling Northumberland Ferries Ltd.
If you choose to leave via the Confederation Bridge, you must pay the bridge toll. The good news is that you experienced the ferry and the engineering marvel of the Confederation Bridge. The unfortunate news is that you are not eligible for a refund on either fare.
Regards,
Valerie
