We are arriving by cruise ship on October 2nd and would like to drive around. Is there any car rental available near the port to drive across the new freedom bridge

Good afternoon from Prince Edward Island;
Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander about car rentals from Port Charlottetown. PEI Car Rental is located at the Delta Prince Edward and is just a short walk of about 10 minutes. Of course, there are other car rental agencies (at the airport) for getting around PEI as well a car sharing company, much like AirBNB, known as Turo.
By the way, the bridge is called the Confederation Bridge and a round-trip fare is charged when leaving PEI.
Enjoy the drive along our Red Sands Shore to Borden-Carleton. If time permits, take a short detour into Victoria by the Sea to tour the shops and treat yourself to an amazing coffee at Island Chocolates Co.

Thank you for choosing Prince Edward Island.

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
