Hi Faye,

You and your kids must be excited about your trip to PEI next summer. There is so much to do here… the hard part is figuring out how to fit it all into just a few days!

Below is a list of fun, memorable, authentically-local PEI experiences that you can enjoy as a family:

•            Go deep-sea fishing, clam digging or starfish hunting with Tranquility Cove Adventures. Located in Georgetown, they’re one of PEI’s leading provider of experiential activities.
•            Check out Basin Head Provincial Park, just past Souris. It’s consistently rated at PEI’s best beach by locals and visitors alike.
•            Take in one of the interpretive activities at the PEI National Park

You could also explore the trails and dunes at Greenwich, one of the most beautiful places on the Island.

•            Tour some of the Island’s lighthouses.
•            Experience life on the Island in the 1890s at Orwell Corner Historic Village
•            Voted one of Canada’s most loved small businesses, Island Hill Farm is a truly magical place.
•            No visit to PEI is complete without a trip to Cow’s Ice Cream.

•            PEI is home to one of North America’s few remaining drive-in theaters, so an evening at the Brackley Drive-In Theatre might be a fun throw-back activity for your family.

•            Play old-school arcade games at the Pony Boat Social Club.

•            Spend a few hours at Rise and Climb, an aerial park with high ropes, zips and laser tag.

•            Book a Lennox Island Experience. Lennox Island is a 540-hectare island located in Malpeque Bay, off the northwest coast of PEI (you’ll take a short causeway and bridge to get there). It’s home to 450 Lennox Island First Nation band members. You can visit the trails, learn about traditional Mi’kmaq art, or take part in an authentic experience.
•            Go horseback riding through the woods and along the river at Brudenell Riding Stables
•            Spend the day at Shining Waters (water park) and the evening at Sandspit (amusement park) in Cavendish.

I hope this information is helpful. As you get into your trip planning, please don’t hesitate to reach out again if you have more questions.
