What are the trail shelters along the Confederation Trail, is that a place a person can spend the night or just for picnicking

Answer by:

Hello Brenda,

Thank you for contacting Ask an Islander.

Along the Confederation Trail, you are a short distance from small communities and accommodations. Great places to stop to have a break, find something to eat or stay for the evening. Camping along the Confederation Trail is not allowed, but there are campgrounds near the trail.

We have a Rural Transit, transfer services and Kari available to get you to and from the Confederation Trail.

Enjoy your visit,

Erin Davis
