I’ve heard there is a park/venue where you can feed foxes. Does anyone know the names and/or location?

Good morning Kate;
Thank you for your inquiry to Ask an Islander. Tourism PEI is not aware of such a park. In fact, it is illegal to feed wildlife in places like the PEI National Park and generally, feeding wildlife is discouraged.
If you are interested in wildlife, I offer a couple of interesting attractions that you may wish to add to your itinerary:
- Butterfly House, Gardens of Hope, New Glasgow
- Carr's Wildlife Centre, Stanley Bridge
- International Fox Museum, Summerside
Also, did you know that the red fox is the provincial animal?
If you haven't done so already, download our 2023 visitor’s guide or pick up a hard copy when you arrive at the airport or any Visitor Information Centre. You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!
Have a fabulous vacation! Thank you for choosing Prince Edward Island.
