Good morning from sunny Prince Edward Island,

Thank you for your inquiry to Ask an Islander. Yes, there is a ferry that sails from Wood Islands, PEI to Caribou, Nova Scotia. The crossing takes about 75-minutes with regular daily crossings from May to mid-December. During peak season, a reservation is recommended. Visit ferries.ca for details on schedule, amenities and to book online.

The round-trip 2022 fare for a vehicle including passengers is $84, which is paid only when leaving PEI.

I invite you to download or order our 2022 visitor’s guide. You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!

See you soon!

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
