Hi there, I'm planning a bike trip around the island this fall and could use some help with parking. Is there a good spot to leave a vehicle for 10 days during my trip, on either side of the bridge? Thank you in advance!

Hi Derek,

Thanks for your question about parking when on your 10-day cycling trip on PEI.

Several B&Bs will let you park on their property while you're on the Island. Helen Green with Victoria Homestay is the closest one to the bridge. She's near Victoria, which is 20 km east of the bridge entrance.

You can find Helen on this map which shows the route for the new 700 km Island Walk. Just touch the yellow balloon west of Victoria-by-the-Sea.

If you are undecided about where you want to bike on the Island, many people are choosing the new Island Walk route. It goes around the perimeter of the Island, and uses 350 km of the Confederation Trail.  You'd love the Confederation Trail for cycling - it's rated one of the 100 best cycling routes in the world! The section from Morell to St. Peter's is especially beautiful.

Have fun on your bicycle adventure on PEI!
