Hello Natasha,

Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander.

Prince Edward Island is pet-friendly! Many accommodations have pet-friendly units, just check when booking. Dogs are welcome almost everywhere as long as they are on a leash.

There is one place where dogs are not permitted and that is on the beaches of the Prince Edward Island National Park from April 1 to October 15. You may take your dog into picnic areas, camping areas, and along trails on a leash. They are welcome on public beaches outside of the PEI National Park.

PEI has many pet-friendly patios, shops, and attractions! Visit the Tourism Prince Edward Island webpage 'Travelling with Your Pet' for more information.

Hope to see you soon!
