Are there any dog friendly beaches and cottages near Cavendish and Stanhope? Thank you ?

Hi Samantha,

Thank you for your question!

All of our provincial park beaches are pet friendly, as long as they are on a leash! However, the Prince Edward Island National Park does not allow pets on the beaches but you can still go through the walking paths with a dog on a leash.

As for cottages there are many that are also pet friendly and in the Cavendish area such as the Mayfield Country Cottages just south of North Rustico, I have heard great things! There is also By The Bay Cottages in Stanhope, another great spot for relaxing after a day full of adventure!

I would also recommend checking out our website accommodation search and to use the advanced search tool to filter out ones that do not accept pets, but not to worry, there are many that do accept pets. You can click here to get to the Tourism Prince Edward Island website.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Valerie
