Julie Biggar
Julie was born and raised in the community of Inverness on her family's cranberry farm with a later move to Summerside. She has lived in Prince Edward Island most of her life and enjoys exploring the Island and spending quality time with her family & friends.
What does your average day look like?
Typically, I start my day with breakfast and coffee and check out CBC News for news articles. In addition to working at the Visitor Centre helping guests plan their stays on PEI, I usually end my day at home with my family catching up on our favorite TV shows and movies.
What is your favorite thing about life on PEI?
Fall is one of my personal favorites. I look forward to the fall foliage, harvest, apple picking, and fall events each year. Also, you cannot beat PEI’s culinary scene, with so many local options year-round.
What is something people wouldn’t know if they were not from PEI?
PEI is known to have many ‘haunted’ destinations!
What are you passionate about personally? What things do you really enjoy?
I enjoy listening to music and podcasts while cooking and trying new recipes. I love cooking and hosting dinners for special people in my life!
If you were to choose one spot on the Island to take someone who has never been here before, where would it be and why?
There are so many scenic and historical locations for guests to visit. My top pick is the PEI National Park at Greenwich. The views of the parabolic dunes are stunning and the Greenwich Dunes Trail is one of the prettiest walks on the whole Island (see image above).
