Judy Smith
Judy was born in Charlottetown and has lived in PEI most of her life, with the exception of several years in Ontario and a year of school in France. After spending her work day helping visitors plan vacations in PEI, she usually walks along the Charlottetown waterfront, drops by an outdoor cafe and listens to live music at one of the many venues across the city. On days off, she enjoys relaxing in one of the beautiful nearby parks.
Where do you live in PEI?
Charlottetown
What is your favourite thing about life in PEI?
I love that we have a very vibrant arts and culture community, so there is always amazing entertainment, any time of the year.
What is something people wouldn't know if they're not from the island?
They wouldn’t know how truly passionate we are about being Islanders and that we can't wait to share our Island with visitors.
If you had to choose one spot on the island to take someone who has never been here, where would it be?
The PEI National Park at Greenwich. It offers so much in one location, from the fascinating Interpretive Centre to the stunning beach and beautiful walking trails. You can easily spend your entire day there.
Any fun facts about yourself or the Island that you think people should know?
When you meet an Islander for the first time, they'll usually ask your family name and then try to make a local connection with someone they know. The funny thing is, many times they will.
