We have booked a cottage near Tignish and would like to do some biking. Can you recommend trails/ routes?
Good afternoon from Prince Edward Island,
Thank you for your inquiry to Ask an Islander. As Tignish is the starting point of the Confederation Trail, I would recommend our North Cape Coastal Drive cycling itinerary that will take you east as far as you wish to go.
Another option is road cycling from Anglo Tignish to Christopher Cross following the quiet secondary roads outlined in sections 10 & 9 of the Island Walk. If you are up for a slightly longer ride, the Stompin’ Tom Centre is just over seven km (21 minutes) from the Route 14 intersection that takes you back to Tignish.
I hope you enjoy your time in the area. BTW, our 2022 Visitor’s Guide will be available in April. Stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events.
Happy trails!

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
